Website page speed is definite as “the length of time it takes to display all the content on a specific page or the length of time it takes for a browser to receive a web server’s first byte.” We generally use the former definition when we analyse client and potential clients page speed.
Why should you care about your websites speed? The obvious is that faster pages are more efficient. The data behind that tells us that if a website takes more than 4 seconds to load, then over a quarter of the users bounce. Essentially, the quicker your website the higher chance you have of conversion.
What’s even more important, is that as of 2010, Google announced that page speed would be included in the ranking factors of SEO. Furthermore, in 2017 Google announced that they will give page speed even more consideration, incorporating mobile site speed to rank sites if they were ‘mobile-first’ pages, which we truly design ever web design (link) project that we do with.
Given how compelling these statistic are, you can be rest assured that we take ALL of these things into consideration for both off-page and on-page (link) optimisation.
